For thousands of years, people all over the world have been brewing chamomile to aid digestion and calm jangled nerves. Legend says that Egyptians dedicated Chamomile to their sun god and valued it above all other herbs for its healing qualities and, because of its soothing and relaxing properties, was an ingredient in some love potions. Chamomile is so versatile it's been used as a sedative for insomnia, an anti-inflammatory to benefit rheumatism and arthritis, and to soothe fevers, sore throats, the aches and pains of colds and flu and allergies. |
