Gen Mai Cha |
||
| Unable to afford tea in Japan during the war years, hulled, boiled and then roasted rice along with popped corn were added as extenders. Since that time, this peasant tea has grown to become quite fashionable, not only in Japan but around the world. Sencha or Bancha are usually used as the base for this very popular tea. The leaves produce a hearty brew that is golden yellow in colour with a very fragrant aroma and traditional toasty flavor. A classic blend to be enjoyed daily. |
