The
"Harvest" moon often seeming to be bigger
and brighter than
other moons, because the brain
perceives a low-hanging moon (caused
by the seasonal tilt of the earth),
to
be larger than one that's high
in the sky. In
times past these autumn moons were said to help farmers
working in the fields to bring in their crops. The farmers could continue
being productive by moonlight even after
the sun had set. Hence the name "Harvest Moon". We've taken the inspiration for this blend from this, our most favorite, time of year. To high-quality Sencha and Mao feng green teas, we've added dried, seasonal apples, orange peel and pineapple and tossed in nutty, toasted walnuts and almonds. You'll love this "touch of autumn" in your cup. |
