Hornblower's Tavern |
|||
Imagine
sitting in a quaint New England tavern in the early 1700's, enjoying
the ambiance and the intimate atmosphere. Everyone is enjoying
a hearty stew or shepherd's pie and either a hearty mug of dark, rich ale,
or
dark, rich "tea". Yes,
New England
was
enjoying
tea in the early 1700's - even before England! Tea came with the
Dutch to New Amsterdam and became the beverage of choice very quickly. This black tea is a blend of fine teas from Ceylon, China and Kenya. Rich and robust, an old-fashioned brew with a bright colour and fragrant aroma and just a hint of smoke. You'll enjoy the warmth of the mug in your hands on a chilly afternoon. |

To
Prepare Hornblower's Tavern is best when brewed with spring water at a temperature of 212° for 5 minutes (although you may enjoy a longer steeping time). We recommend one teaspoon for every 8 ounces. Enjoy this tea through 2 infusions. |
Tea Lovers Also Recommend If you enjoy the richness of this blend, you might also enjoy deep, dark Lapsang Souchong or the classic English Breakfast. |
