How Much Tea to Use

Two grams or one teaspoon of tea will make one cup.
This means that for every 2 ounces purchased,
you should get approximately 20 to 25 cups of tea.
Purchase 4 ounces of tea and you should
expect approximately 50 cups of tea.
For most teas, this translates to
between 10¢ and 25¢ per cup.
Many teas lend themselves very nicely
to multiple infusions.

2 oz. - 20-25 cups
4 oz - 40-50 cups
8 oz - 80-100 cups
16 oz - 200-250 cups

By comparison, our other favorite beverage
can cost from $1.00 to $3.00 per cup.
On average, one pound of tea will make 200 cups.
One pound of coffee will make 40 cups.
How long will tea last?
Green teas lose their freshness quicker than black or oolong teas and should not be stored for a long period of time. For maximum flavor and freshness, we recommend no longer than three to six months for green, and for black, perhaps six months to a year. Just remember, with time, all tea's flavor will diminish.
