Keemun is one of the most popular congou (black) teas. Because of its deep winey, almost orchid-like flavor, it is often referred to as the "Burgundy of teas". Keemun is grown in the northern province of Anhui, one of the smallest of China's provinces, and famous for its tea since the 7th century. This leaf with its distinctive fragrance has long been the favorite tea of the Queen of England. This excellent grade of Keemun has a rich dark red liquor with a complex, orchid-like flavor and a smooth mellow cup. A wonderful tea for any time, day or night. Our favorite mid-afternoon delight. Takes very well to milk. |
