Hope Darjeeling (2nd Flush)

| Darjeeling
has spectacular views of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks and nestled
in this mighty region is an estate that has been enchanting tea lovers
for years, Margaret's Hope. How did this estate
get its intriguing name? In the 1930's, the garden was owned by Mr.
Bagdon, who, with his two daughters, sailed from England to India
to visit the garden. The younger daughter, Margaret, fell in love
with the estate and hoped some day she
could return. But during the return trip to England, Margaret took
ill and died. In her memory, her father changed the garden's name
to Margaret's Hope. This second flush "champagne of teas" has a superb fragrance, very complex bouquet and classic muscatel characteristics. The liquor is golden in colour with a pronounced rounded character. Enjoy this tea daily. |
