Nilgiri TGFOP |
|||
Located in southern India, Nilgiri, literally translated, means Blue Mountains. This rugged mountain range is a land of peaks and precipices, grasslands and jungles. It is against this impressive background that Nilgiri teas are grown. The soil, the climate, the water, all combine to achieve excellence in tea. Within winding rivers and plunging waterfalls lie the tea gardens, which vary in elevation from 50 meters to 2,000 meters above sea level. Unlike Assam or Darjeeling, this magnificent area produces tea all year round. Chosen by blenders around the world, Nilgiri teas are medium-bodied, bright and brisk. This "tippy, golden, flowery, orange pekoe" yields a mellow aroma with a bright liquor. A wonderful afternoon tea. Enjoy hot or iced. |

To
Prepare Nilgiri TGFOP is best when brewed with spring water at a temperature of 210° for 3 to 4 minutes. We recommend one rounded teaspoon per 8 ounces. Enjoy this tea through 2 infusions. |
Tea Lovers Also Recommend If you enjoy this exceptional Nilgiri, you might also enjoy the "champagne" of tea, Darjeeling FTGFOP or perhaps a full-bodied blend of Keemuns and Assams, Bleinheim Palace. |
