Imagine bygone Paris, where markets and restaurants lined the streets of its neighborhoods with sprawling displays of colorful goods, enticing aromas and engaging atmosphere. Now imagine sharing a pot of this fragrant tea with someone special at an intimate table in a one of those charming bistros.

One of the oldest scented teas produced in China where plantation workers would cut rose blossoms from the bushes that lined the fields and sprinkle the petals onto the withering tea leaves. The result was this delicately rose scented brew. Today, the process is much the same with the addition of essential oils from the rose hips.
This hua cha or flower tea has a golden liquor with medium-body and intoxicating perfume. Enjoy it on its own accompanied by a delicate tea biscuit.
