Satemwa Estate Fancy |
||
| The
Satemwa Estate was Malawi's first Fair
Trade certified producer of tea. Founded in 1923 by Scotsman Maclean
Kay, Satemwa was originally a tobacco plantation. The first successful
tea crop wasn't brought to market until 1937.
This socially responsible plantation is dedicated to providing free
schooling, medical clinics with free immunizations, as well as an
HIV/AIDS program including testing and counseling.
Environmentally aware, no pesticides
are ever used in the production of this exceptional tea.
This hand-plucked tea is indicative of the unique quality of tea produced at the Satemwa Estate. The long, dark beautiful leaves give an exquisite brew with a rich, full-bodied smoothness. Savour this distinctive brew in the morning and let it gently take you through the day. |
