Ti Quan Yin 1st Grade

In China, Quan Yin, the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy, is considered to be the perfect mother and the embodiment of compassion. Given these qualities, it is surprising that Quan Yin was originally thought to be a male god.

Ti Quan Yin (TiKuan Yin) or Iron Goddess of Mercy from the southern Fujian Province in China is one of China's most famous oolongs. After plucking, the leaves are hand-rolled to allow the essential oils to react with the air and slowly oxidize. When the desired oxidation is reached and the edges of the leaves are a golden brown, the leaf is then heated to stop the oxidation process and rolled to form its shape.

This excellent grade oolong is best enjoyed steeped loosely in the pot, gong fu style. The floral flavor is exceptionally light and smooth with a lingering after-taste. To be enjoyed daily.
