| Until
a few decades ago, white tea was a well guarded secret of Chinese emperors
and plucking was only performed by young women with gloved hands. Today,
pure white teas are still produced on a very limited scale. The finest
white teas being plucked before the spring rains, before dawn, when the
new buds (unfurled leaves) are still closed. They are withered naturally
and then dried. With white tea being enjoyed more now than ever before, and with the demand on flavoured teas, we have created some wonderful, and affordable white tea blends - each light, delicate and unique. For a subtle taste, pale infusion, low caffeine and high antioxidant level, drink white tea. |
