1st Grade |
|||
In China black tea is called hong or red tea. And although the Yunnan province in China has been producing tea for 1700 years, only 60 of those years has it been producing hong tea. It is now considered to produce some of the finest black tea in the world. From the Soviet Union to Eastern Europe to North America, this is considered one of the finest teas sold. Very easily identified, Yunnan black is produced from thick broad leaves and fat leaf buds. The black leaves of this tea produce a rich, full-bodied cup with a brisk, almost "spicey" flavor and pronounced aroma. A wonderful morning tea, but savoured and enjoyed anytime. |
