| Almost
on a parallel with the Assam area in India, the Yunnan
province in China, with its high mountains and abundant
rainfall, produces some of the most exquisite teas in the world. Producing
black or "hong" tea for only 60 of the 1700 years this area has been
in production, it now exports world-class black teas.
The Yunnan province also produces our beloved pu-erhs. Very easily
identified, Yunnans are thick, broad leaves with
downy leaf buds; Yunnan
Gold
having an abundance of golden, downy tips.
This is the most beautiful of the Yunnans. The profusion of golden buds give this tea an almost mocha color. Distinctive, chocolatey flavor with a fragrant, pronounced aroma. |

To
Prepare Yunnan Gold Tip is best when brewed with spring water at a temperature of 200° for 3 to 4 minutes. We recommend one heaping teaspooon for every 8 ounces. Enjoy this tea through 2 or more infusions. |
