Pu-erh has been drunk in China since the Tang dynasty (A.D. 650-800). Because of its large leaf, special growing conditions, longer leaf oxidation and 'secret' storage requirements, Pu-erh has taken on a very different taste. Earthy, old, mellow, even musty have all been used to describe Pu-erh. We say rich and delicious. This is a large, bold leaf with a full earthy flavor.

A dark, full-bodied brew that holds up very well to several infusions. Long valued for its cholesterol-reducing ability. Enjoy anytime, but especially after a meal.

To Prepare
Yunnan Pu-erh
is best when brewed with spring water at a temperature of 210° for 3 to 5 minutes. Use one rounded teaspoon per 6 ounces. You can expect this tea to sustain itself through many infusions.
